Just a few more pictures. Gosh, I've taken soooooo many in the last week. Digital cameras are a wonderful thing !!
The only not so good thing about Rookie being here is that at meal time Spirit has started to gobble down her food. She has always been a slow eater--taking her time and enjoying it--now she is obviously worried Rookie will get it and gobbles it down. I feed them at opposite ends of the room and make sure Rookie doesn't go any where near Spirit's food bowl--but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Feed Spirit in a room on her own with the door shut, poor girl had got to enjoy her food!! :laughingsmile She has been such a good sister to Rookie she deserves a bit of peace while she eats!

Beautiful pics, they look so happy together. :hugsmiley

oh I love that first pic, they both look so soft and their coats gleam! Very sweet pics, she is such a cutie!

I totally agree with Sue, give Spirit her own space when she eats so she isn't feeling threatened to gobble it down. I would have a door between them for Spirit's peace of mind.

You could also try putting a ball in Spirit's food bowl with her kibble. It will force her to slow down because she'll have to eat around the ball.

These pictures are so precious!

I have to do that with Alfie, he still eats too fast, but I hope it helps a little.

You might want to try one of these, Sue:

I've seen things similar here in the US, and they look pretty effective.

Wonderful pictures! Love seeing them together....With Otto, when he's done eating, we remove him from the room and put up a baby gate. He's learning that the other dishes are off limits.

Thanks for that link, I have never seen one of those. I really worry about bloat, he eats so fast!
