I hope Tilly is continuing to do well. It is very good that she has shown interest in moving around since the surgery - going out out to wee, seeking carrots in the kitchen and humping Harry - although he probably didn't think it was so great! She wouldn't be moving about if she didn't feel good enough to do so. I hope the surgery improves how her feet feel and she is back to her old self soon! Hugs to all of you.

Hi all, just a little update...the bandages are off and everything is looking good (well, her right paw looks better than her left but the left was the one that needed more amputation) She is brighter and brighter each day...infact her naughty side is coming out again (she had been so quiet for the last few months, we hardly knew we had her) Yesterday before her bandages were taken off, I had nipped out of the living room and left the hallway door open and she took herself off upstairs to grab a sock out of the laundry basket!! (she never really goes upstairs and I certainly didn't expect it with two HUGE bandages on her feet...) then later I must have been too slow getting her tea ready because she gave an almighty WOOF, it was so funny, little madam!
Anyway...I'm not sure if you particularly want to see pics of what was going on under tha bandages...if not you may want to look away now!! Both feet...remember they look especially weird because all the hair has been shaved from the paw. (Posted Image) Right paw (Posted Image) Left paw (Posted Image) (Posted Image) relaxing (Posted Image) (btw Harry is wearing a t-shirt to stop him licking his belly...he has made it all sore and the t-shirt stops him!) Is Harry doing that to his belly because he is worried about his big sister? Bless them both. Tilly looks gorgeous laying on her bakc with her feet in the air! Abbey lays like that too. Her paws don't look too bad do they. I really hope this helps her. Have you got the result of the biopsy yet? What can they do when they get that?

Thanks for sharing... and I appreciate the photos too. I think your vet is wonderful - those stitches look neat and its great that Tilly is feeling more herself each day. Bless her...

ooh I am so sorry I haven't updated for a while...the thing is, I was ready to upload some lovely pictures and videos from a few days to show you how fab she is doing but then the day after I took them she has started to not want to walk anymore. The day after the rolling vid was taken she absolutely refused to walk in the field at all...it took half an hour to get her back to the car. I have the most awful feeling that another nail is causing her lots of pain. There is one that looks like it is lifting. I HATE this so much...it just never ends, and my poor, poor girl doesn't seem to get a break from it. I've booked her in at the vets on Monday and I have told them she may need a nail pulling...it does look loose.

Oh no, poor Tilly. Give her some hugs. We are so sorry she has to go through this over and over but at least she is still with us. Thank God.

Thanks guys. I took her to the canal today where the ground is really bouncy...she was ok at first, all trotting and wagging and then she just plonked her bum down. We headed back to the car and she laid down twice on the way back to lick her paws. I thought we weren't going to make it! I think separate walks are needed again!

Sorry to hear that Tilly is not feeling well again. You're being a good Mom and paying attention to what she is telling you......because you know she would be running in that field if she could. It seems like the removal of the bad nails did do the trick though so hopefully taking care of this other one will help. Good Luck. I know how hard it is worrying about her and trying to make her as comfortable as possible. Don't worry, things will improve. It just may take a bit more time. And........Harry ROCKS!!!!!! What an awesome recall!!!
