My name is Stephen and am a widower, a cub scout leader, a pawpaw and a special ed teacher among other things. I just bought my first ever AKC registered Golden Retriever. Firestar, as I call him, is 4 months old and from a good bloodline of English variety Golden Retievers (dark golden). I am truly amazed at how very smart he is and a fast learner. He is a joy to me! I hope to find a trainer for both of us so I can show him. He already has learned to play fetch with me.

I am called Mel here, and I have a 7 year old golden. We volunteer for a rescue group that Gus came from and he is a great foster brother. Can't wait to see pics of Firestar ! -------------------- Gus's Mom

Stephen~~Welcome to you and Firestar. I'm Carol and I have two Goldens--Halle who is 13 and Buddy who is 6. I too just recently joined this group and am so happy I found it. Although I love all animals Goldens are my very favorite! :dogbark:
